Silence for Beginners

windowI get out and about with work – and often come across some really good examples of creative faith stuff!
Recently on a visit to St Matthew’s Bethnal Green I met Max Noak who teaches Silence for Beginners. He was telling me about the interest there is in this, and the sort of people who turn up. It seemed to me that it is something that New Roots should let folk know about.

Silence for Beginners – An introduction to silent sitting, the Jesus Prayer and a contemplative way of life.

Silence for Beginners is an 8-week course that will equip you to tread the path of silence confidently as your own spiritual way. This course – though Christian in background – is open to those of all faiths and none.

Like me – you may not be able to make it to Bethnal Green – but it’s god to know about this stuff. It is encouraging to know that there are creative people doing creative things! We are not alone!
