Lent 2019 – watch a video (or 5!)

shapes for living Lent begins with Ash Wednesday on March 6th 2019. There are loads of resources around for Lent – so if you fancy using the 40 days to try something different New Roots has been digging around for some ideas.

Each denomination will have resources for Lent – you can do your own digging around if you fancy. Here’s one we came across that looks pretty darned good!

The Church of England Diocese of Gloucester has come up with some excellent material for Lent. A series of 5 video reflections from the Bishop of Gloucester, Rachel Treweek, is part of a whole programme called Shapes for Living. This includes a whole bundle of resources for individuals, groups, schools and families. ‘Shapes for Living’ is itself part of a much wider Life vision for the Diocese based on the words of Jesus in John 10:10
“I have come that they may have LIFE, and have it to the full.”

Don’t worry if you don’t live in Gloucestershire, or even that you are an Anglican  – this is worth taking a look at.

New Roots is about finding ways for us to live as disciples, Sometimes this is difficult to do – and then stuff like this comes along. Kingdom stuff to keep you rooted.

One of the co-founders of New Roots, Bob Callaghan just happens to live in Gloucestershire so may be biased!
