Each year, Mrs Prindables offers a $1,000 scholarship to help future educators fund their undergraduate education. In order to apply, you simply must submit an essay of around 500 characters in which you detail what you believe you have to offer the students of the future. 

August 2025

Worth up to $1,500, this scholarship is intended to support Mendocino County high school seniors who have plans to study education. To be eligible, students must reside anywhere in the county, have a GPA of 3.0 or higher, and be passionate about pursuing a career in education.

March 1, 2025

Any first-generation high school or undergraduate student who is an underrepresented minority pursuing a career as a teacher or educator may apply for this scholarship opportunity.

Feb 15, 2025

Any high school senior who plans to pursue a career in education with a focus on science or math may apply for this scholarship opportunity.

Mar 21, 2025

This scholarship aims to honor the memory of Marie Humphries by supporting students who are pursuing their education in order to become teachers.

Any high school senior or undergraduate student who is studying education or teaching may apply for this scholarship.

Do you need to earn community service hours? Become a teen volunteer at the library and help library staff and the library at large while earning your hours.

Are you great with kids? Looking for a long-term service opportunity? Volunteers ages 16 and over are welcome to complete an 8-hour training to become a formal Orton-Gillingham reading tutor and be assigned to a specific struggling reader in grades 1 - 4 for weekly 1 hour tutoring sessions at any SBPL Library.

As an Active-level member of Educators Rising, you have access to all kinds of opportunities. Members are able to participate in competitive events, meet their peers at the Educators Rising National Conference, and take student leadership roles. Members can showcase their teaching skills by earning micro-credentials, and discover scholarships available to them to assist on their way to becoming great teachers. (15 dollar membership fee)
